We follow in the footsteps of the gray monks who owned this region. Even though the former monastery has been home to a prison for over 150 years\, traces of the once mighty self-sufficient monks can still be found everywhere. In 2024\, the Ebrach monastery landscape was awarded the European Heritage Label. Follow in the footsteps of the Cistercians with us and find out why!     \nAn overview tour of the town center with a visit to the baroque Kaisersaal (except for special events) – Searching for clues in the heart of the monastery landscape \nMeeting point: In front of the former orangery (Cisterscapes information center)\, Oberer Abteigarten\, Ebrach. \nSeason: From May to October every Sunday\, 15:00-16:30 \nTickets at: https://www.bamberg.info/veranstaltungen/rundgang_in_ebrach_auf_spurens-569119-12601707/ \nor on site at the information center. \nPrices: €9 per person; €8 with volunteer card; children and young people up to the age of 16 free of charge. \nSearching for clues in the heart of the monastery landscape can also be booked as a group tour. \nAdvice and individual coordination of priorities at steigerwaldtouren@t-online.de \nPrice: 125 € maximum group size 25 people. \nDuration approx. 90 minutes. \nGuided tours in foreign languages on request.
