SUMMARY:Discover cultural heritage in the Loccum monastery landscape on May 09\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the ceremonial unveiling of the European Heritage Label\nOn Saturday\, May 9\, 2026\, the Loccum Monastery Landscape will be all about European cultural heritage. The occasion is the ceremonial unveiling of the European Heritage Label\, which was awarded to the Loccum Monastery Landscape in 2024.  \nThe award is associated with the European cooperation project Cisterscapes – Cistercian landscapes connecting Europe. In this cultural heritage project\, 17 Cistercian monastery landscapes from five countries have joined forces to make the common cultural heritage of the Cistercians visible.  \nThe event “Discover cultural heritage in the Loccum monastery landscape” is not only intended to honor this European heritage\, but also to make it tangible for visitors. After the official unveiling\, guests will have the opportunity to explore the approximately seven-kilometre route of the “Small Monastery Landscape Trail” individually.  \nVarious activities along the route invite you to actively discover the landscape. For example\, the route can be experienced interactively as part of an actionbound (digital scavenger hunt). There will also be a stamp collection campaign where all participants who have collected all their stamps can take part in a prize draw.   \nAt 13:00\, there will also be a public guided tour along the monastery landscape trail. Landscape guide Hans-Georg Sievers will provide insights into the history of the monastery landscape and its significance in a European context.  \nCulinary refreshments will be available in Prior’s Garden \, where the preacher’s seminary and the Wulf bakery will be offering food and drinks. \n  \nAblaOverview of the run-off on May 09\, 2026: \n\n11:00 a.m. – Ceremonial unveiling of the European Heritage Label with Abbot Ralf Meister and Mayor Martin Franke opposite the collegiate church in Loccum Monastery\nAfterwards – individual exploration of the monastery landscape trail with Actionbound and stamp collection campaign\n13:00 – Public guided tour (meeting point in front of Loccum Collegiate Church)\n16:00 – Raffle of the stamp collection campaign in Prior’s garden\n17:00 – Official end of the event\n\nWe look forward to discovering the Loccum monastery landscape together with you and to celebrating the European Heritage Label. \nFurther information can be found on our website. \nNote: Please note that the event takes place outdoors and is therefore dependent on the weather. \nCisterscapes Loccum – Yolanda Prange

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 9\, 2026\, you can go on a culinary hike along the “Small Monastery Landscape Trail” in the Loccum monastery landscape. Visitors are invited to combine nature\, history and regional cuisine. The occasion is the ceremonial unveiling of the European Heritage Label.   \nThe award is associated with the European cooperation project Cisterscapes – Cistercian landscapes connecting Europe.
