SUMMARY:Inspired by Nature
DESCRIPTION:In this contemporary art exhibition\, visitors encounter two distinct aspects of Ulrike Donié’s work. On the one hand\, there are the large-format paintings. They resemble underwater worlds or reflections; some even bring to mind the “primordial soup” of all life. In contrast\, the installations depict a natural world in which humans have clearly left their mark. Humans have subjugated the Earth and are now confronted with the consequences. To illustrate these profound changes to nature caused by humans\, Donié deliberately uses a man-made material: polyethylene.      \n

DESCRIPTION:International Landscape Symposium on September 10 and 11\, 2026\, in Velehrad\, Czech Republic   \nUnder the theme “Breaks and Continuities in Cultural Landscape Development\,” international scholars and experts will examine the development and tourism potential of monastic cultural landscapes in Austria\, Germany\, Portugal\, Poland\, and the Czech Republic from various perspectives\, thereby highlighting the value of our shared European cultural heritage—the “landscape.” \nFollowing the conference\, a large wine festival will take place in the Velehrad area. We would be delighted if you could spend a little more time in the region.  \nConferec Velehrad Program_EN_DE \n  \nHow to get there: \n\nby car\nby train (if you’re traveling via Vienna\, there’s a direct train from the main station to Velehrad; the trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes)\nby plane (Vienna\, Bratislava)\n\n  \nPlease refer to the flyer for the detailed program.
