Plasy Monastery is firmly anchored in Czech historiography as well as in architectural\, artistic and intellectual research. In 2025\, it will be 880 years since the first Cistercians arrived in the valley of the Střela River. DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the “European Heritage Days”\, Dr. Andreas Gamerith\, Zwettl Abbey Archive\, and Elisabeth Moll\, MBA\, Zwettl Town Archive\, shed light on Zwettl’s historical bridges: from the Romanesque Bridge\, probably the oldest technical structure in Austria\, to the bridges of the early 20th century\, which used state-of-the-art innovations.  \n The current structural measures on Zwettl bridges – implemented as part of the Interreg project “Cisterscapes VB – Zw – ZnS” funded by the European Union – are also presented.
