DESCRIPTION:A warm invitation to the grand opening of the Cisterscapes Visitor Center in the Old Town Hall. Explore the new exhibition on June 25\, 2026 and enjoy regional specialties from the monastery landscape. \nThe monastery landscape of the Cistercians of Zwettl is one of the best-preserved examples of a monastery landscape in the whole of Europe. The focus is also on regional products such as carp\, beer and poppy seeds as well as Waldviertel pond farming. \nProgram:\n5.00 pm: Opening ceremony in the passage of the Old Town Hall\, speeches with musical accompaniment and agape\n6.00 pm: Guided tour with the curators through the exhibition in the new visitor center \nAccompanying activities: \n\nRound trip in the carp carriage\n“Fishing up close – right in the middle instead of just being there” – experience with VR glasses\nActivity stations with puzzles\, games and escape\n\n\n\nThis project is funded by the Interreg Austria-Czech Republic program under the project title “ATCZ00007 CISTERSCAPES VB-Zw-ZnS”.

SUMMARY:Ebracher Musiksommer: Baroque Virtuosos
DESCRIPTION:Baroque Virtuoso\nJohann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)\nOrchestral Suite No. 3 in D major BWV 1068\nConcerto for violin\, oboe and orchestra in C minor BWV 1060R\nConcerto for two violins and orchestra in D minor BWV 1043\nGeorge Frideric Handel (1685-1759)\nWater Music\, Suite II in D major \nOrchestra with Gewandhaus musicians Leipzig\nGerd Schaller\, conductor \nFestive baroque music in the Kaisersaal with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel has always been very popular. When musicians from the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra also perform this concert\, the crowds are particularly large. Experience has shown that the Leipzig orchestra’s traditional guest performance as part of the Ebrach Summer of Music sells out quickly – so it’s worth booking your tickets early!\nUnder the title VIRTUOSES BAROQUE\, the program this time features true gems of the Baroque repertoire\, with the solo concertos presented promising a very special treat for the ears. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 offers particularly festive sounds\, and the famous Air from it is one of Bach’s best-known works. His concerto for violin and oboe is often regarded as an adaptation of Bach’s earlier harpsichord concerto\, with the violin and oboe taking on the role of the harpsichord. In the concerto for two violins\, on the other hand\, the two soloists enter into an exciting competition. The program is rounded off by the D major suite from Handel’s Water Music\, which revives the former splendour of a royal river journey. A musical treat that is guaranteed to delight! \nSubject to change without notice. \nTickets at 39 | 44 | 49 €
