SUMMARY:Bridge builders! - The Zwettl monastery landscape and its bridges
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the “European Heritage Days”\, Dr. Andreas Gamerith\, Zwettl Abbey Archive\, and Elisabeth Moll\, MBA\, Zwettl Town Archive\, shed light on Zwettl’s historical bridges: from the Romanesque Bridge\, probably the oldest technical structure in Austria\, to the bridges of the early 20th century\, which used state-of-the-art innovations.  \n The current structural measures on Zwettl bridges – implemented as part of the Interreg project “Cisterscapes VB – Zw – ZnS” funded by the European Union – are also presented.
