W\u00e4hrend man das Panorama des Sees bewunderte, gab es Gespr\u00e4che und Diskussionen \u00fcber die Legende des Fluches, der \u0141ekno zehn Generationen lang heimgesucht hat.\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"de\">On Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2024, a historical walk took place around \u0141ekno, during which participants visited several places associated with the great past of this extraordinary city. The walk was organized as part of this year&#8217;s edition of the European Heritage Days under the motto &#8220;Trails. Networks. Connections.&#8221; Saturday&#8217;s walk began at the \u0141ekno Market Square (Plac Powsta\u0144c\u00f3w Wlkp.), which for centuries was the bustling center of the former city. Fairs and trade fairs were held here, attended by merchants and customers from near and far. The town developed, among other things, thanks to its location on the trade route connecting Wielkopolska with Pomerania. After the Cistercians of Zbylut were brought in from the Pa\u0142uki family, who founded the monastery in a founding document from 1153 (the monastery was located on the western shore of the lake, opposite the town), the town became permanently linked to Europe through a network of economic and cultural connections. As the walk continued, the participants learned interesting facts about the architecture of the late Gothic parish church, whose size and beauty were intended to emphasize the importance and prestige of the former town.
