On Saturday, May 9, 2026<\/strong>, the Loccum Monastery Landscape will be all about European cultural heritage. The occasion is the ceremonial unveiling of the European Heritage Label<\/strong>, which was awarded to the Loccum Monastery Landscape in 2024. <\/p>\n The award is associated with the European cooperation project Cisterscapes – Cistercian landscapes connecting Europe<\/strong>. In this cultural heritage project, 17 Cistercian monastery landscapes from five countries have joined forces to make the common cultural heritage of the Cistercians visible. <\/p>\n The event “Discover cultural heritage in the Loccum monastery landscape<\/strong>” is not only intended to honor this European heritage, but also to make it tangible for visitors. After the official unveiling, guests will have the opportunity to explore the approximately seven-kilometre route of the “Small Monastery Landscape Trail” individually. <\/p>\n Various activities along the route invite you to actively discover the landscape. For example, the route can be experienced interactively as part of an actionbound (digital scavenger hunt)<\/strong>. There will also be a stamp collection campaign<\/strong> where all participants who have collected all their stamps can take part in a prize draw. <\/p>\n At 13:00<\/strong>, there will also be a public guided tour along the monastery landscape trail<\/strong>.
