The popular cisterscapes mascot Berni can now be found in many places in Stiftland.

On the one hand, it can be found in all elementary school in the IKom municipalities. The little stories in the boar’s rucksack are intended to motivate pupils to engage with the rich heritage of the Cistercians in Stiftland and their significance for Europe.

Berni can also be seen in places in the Stiftland region that are frequently visited by locals and guests, such as the tourist information offices in Waldsassen and Tirschenreuth, or that are closely linked to the history of the Waldsassen monastery or illustrate this history, for example the Kapplwirtschaft, the Museumsquartier or the Schafferhof Konnersreuth.

If you would like to have a Berni yourself, you can buy one at the Waldsassen tourist information office. In addition to the cuddly toy, there is also a Playmobil set with a wild boar and Cistercian monk.
