The historic monastic landscapes of Europe, as a shared cultural heritage, will be the focus of a two-day symposium featuring a distinguished panel of experts in Velehrad, Czech Republic!
Date: September 10–11, 2026 – Registration is open until July 15, 2026.
For more information and the registration link, please see our September calendar of events.
Under the theme “Breaks and Continuities in Cultural Landscape Development,” international scholars and experts will examine the development and tourism potential of monastic cultural landscapes in Austria, Germany, Portugal, Poland, and the Czech Republic from various perspectives, thereby highlighting the value of our shared European cultural heritage—the “landscape.”
Following the conference, there will be a large wine festival in the Velehrad/Moravia region. We recommend that you plan to stay a little longer!
