Thanks to many hard-working hands and creative minds, the Obere Abteigarten in Ebrach has a spectacular new resident: a 3-meter-long Cyclotosaurus Ebrachensis, also known as Frankenzilla. This giant carnivorous amphibian from the Triassic period lived in the Steigerwald 230 million years ago and was discovered about 100 years ago in a quarry near Ebrach. Hence the nickname Ebrachensis. A recent sensational discovery in the municipality of Rauhenebrach served as the inspiration for a 5-day creative workshop with sculptor Thomas Gröhling. A good dozen children took part and created a real masterpiece!
