On September 14, 2025, Loccum Monastery invites you to the Open Monument Day. Visitors can expect an exciting program about history, architecture and the cultural landscape.

In addition to traditional guided tours of the impressive monastery complex, those interested can also explore the approximately 7.2-kilometre “Small Monastery Landscape Trail” at 2 p.m., led by Hans-Georg Sievers. This route leads through a cultural landscape designed by the Cistercians with historic watercourses, canals, ponds and forests – impressive evidence of their medieval water management, which is still alive today.
