This themed tour is filled with prose and poetry, with literary memoirs. The texts come from former pupils from the beginning of the school’s history to the present day. Erdmann Neumeister, for example, was one of the most important cantata poets and theologians of the Baroque period. Well-known authors of the Enlightenment and the late 19th century – for example Franz von Gaudy and Friedrich Nietzsche – were also pupils at Pfortens. Authors whose names are almost forgotten today are also presented.
