The Zwettl Adult Education Center is organizing a cooking seminar on 21 November 2024 in cooperation with Cisterscapes, in which carp can be rediscovered . Together with Gaby Thaller (seminar farmer), participants will prepare and eat potato dumplings with carp caviar, carp on a bed of millet, carp and potato skewers and carp lasagne. During the course of the seminar, Dr. Andreas Gamerith (abbey archivist) will provide fascinating insights into the history of pond farming in the Waldviertel, which is closely linked to the work of the Zwettl Cistercians. The carp princess Michaela Altmann builds the bridge to the use of the ponds in the present.
