His concerto for violin and oboe is often regarded as an adaptation of Bach's earlier harpsichord concerto, with the violin and oboe taking on the role of the harpsichord. In the concerto for two violins, on the other hand, the two soloists enter into an exciting competition. The program is rounded off by the D major suite from Handel's Water Music, which revives the former splendour of a royal river journey. A musical treat that is guaranteed to delight!
