Loccum

Once again, the community of Cistercian heirs in Germany has been invited to an annual meeting at the Cistercian monastery of Loccum, founded in 1163. The abbot of the monastery, Bishop Ralf Meister, has initiated this meeting in Loccum himself and is looking forward to our coming together with the whole team of the monastery. The state bishop will celebrate the opening service with us in the monastery church and speak to us about the office of abbot from a Protestant perspective as part of the conference. Loccum Monastery is home to the seminary for vicar training for the four Lutheran churches in Lower Saxony and the Church of Bremen. Together with the Institute for Religious Education, the Pastoral College and the Protestant Academy, Loccum is an important place of education and dialog for the regional church of Hanover. CONFERENCE COSTS The conference costs (full board) are 420 € for a single room 730 € for a double room Without accommodation, the rate per person is € 225.
