43rd Bavarian Heritage Day on June 19 and 20, 2026 in Bamberg
19. June - 20. June
| freeThe Heimattag, which is once again meeting in Bamberg after 1997, will not only take stock of how the term “Heimat” is presented in the content and programs of the various media, but also how the associations united under the umbrella of the Bavarian Heimattag can use the media for their work.
The aim of the Bavarian Heritage Day is to research, preserve and further develop both the natural environment and the culture of Bavaria in its tradition, diversity and uniqueness. The working group wants to preserve the traditional living space in all Bavarian regions, create quality of life and, above all, establish an identity between the people and their homeland. With its affiliated associations and institutions, the Bayerischer Heimattag represents the interests of well over half a million people.
