The Doberan Monastery Days are being held under the heading “NIGHBARE LOVE AND CHARITY IN THE CISTERCIAN MONASTERY”. The basic Christian concern of charity is expressed in the Cistercian monastery in the proverbial hospitality and care of the poor and sick. We have invited guests to who have interesting things to tell us about this topic from a historical and contemporary perspective in and around Doberan Monastery and beyond. The Minister of Social Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Ms. Stefanie Drese, has taken on the patronage of the Doberan Monastery Days. To kick things off on Friday, the vocal group VOX NOSTRA will perform medieval songs in Doberan Minster. The Doberan Monastery Days 2025 will conclude on Sunday with a guided tour of the places where guests were accommodated and the sick and poor were cared for in our monastery in the Middle Ages.
