According to legend, Waldsassen was founded in 1127. It is said that the hermit Gerwig was given land by his friend Margrave III to establish a monastery. After many years, the two had met again, quite unexpectedly, in Köllergrün.
After the festive service at Köllergrün, the celebration continues at Panzen.
Throughout the year, there will be a series of events celebrating this anniversary.
