Meeting point: Steigerwald-Zentrum parking lot near Handthal, OT of Oberschwarzach

The Magalenenkreuz is already a great vantage point. In the background you can see the Main with the Main loop near Volkach, in the foreground the Stollburg castle and the highest vineyard in Franconia invite you to visit, with Handthal at our feet. On the way to the Magdalenenkreuz there are beautiful old beeches and oaks. The tinder fungus shows its impressive mushroom brackets on some of the trunks. The loop leads slowly to the hill and leisurely back to Handthal. Length 4 km, duration approx. 2.5 hours.
