Forum on the topic of Cistercians in our partner site Wągrowiec (30.06.-01.07.23)!

Taking part in the 12th Forum of the Polish Cistercian Way last weekend was more than worth it! The varied program with lectures, excursions and workshops gave a good impression of the numerous activities around the Cistercian theme in the region of Poznan and Lekno/Wagrowiec. Particularly impressive were the visit to the archaeological site of the former monastery in Lekno and one of the oldest wooden churches in Poland, the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Nicholas in Tarnowo Pałuckie, which also dates back to the Cistercians.
And of course our Bernie was there live again! He was particularly taken with the cooking event: Cistercian-style carp soup!
Many thanks to our Cisterscapes partners for the great support and to the official organizers, the Poznan County, the Wagrowiec Commune and the Association for the Protection of Post-Cistercian Heritage in Bierzwienik, as well as the cooperation partners, including the Institute for Documentation, Development and Promotion of Cultural and Culinary Heritage of the Poznan County.
